Your Summer read is ‘The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society’ by Mary Ann Shaffer and Anne Barrows. The Times says of this International best-seller ‘Charming....one to lift even the most cynical of spirits’ and the Sunday Telegraph ‘Funny, moving and quite unlike anything I have read for a long time’.

Hopefully it will make light enjoyable reading for the holidays and will be discussed at our next meeting on Wednesday 8th September at 7.30pm. A couple of books are still available, if anyone is interested see Mary Patterson or Carol Robertson.
